Hi, I’m Megan.
I’m really, really glad you took a chance and looked me up.
Right now, you might be feeling highly motivated to find a therapist. Or maybe you’re unsure if therapy is even your thing. Maybe your parents are “making you” come. Or you’re a parent and you’ve reached the point where you’re not sure what else to do.
Wherever you are — I’m so glad you’re here.
I know what it feels like to not know which way is up. To need something, but not know where to turn. To feel like you should be able to handle it all, but also know deep down that something has to give. Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, identity shifts, transitions, or just the everyday overwhelm of life -you don't have to do it alone.
I work with middle and high school students, college-aged young adults, parents, and women who are facing the hard stuff. You might be trying to manage big emotions, relationship struggles, academic stress, family dynamics, or just trying to figure out who you are in a world that keeps changing.
I’ve always been a listener - to friends, family, and even strangers who (without fail) end up telling me their life story in the grocery line. I think people sense that I’m genuinely interested and that I don’t judge. I relate easily, I see all sides, and I care deeply about helping people feel less alone in the hard stuff.
I love using humor, a little well-placed sarcasm, and a lot of compassion. I also love when clients feel safe enough to tell me if something I’m doing isn’t working - I’m a recovering people-pleaser, so I truly believe that learning to say what you need is a huge win in therapy and in life.
And then there’s Kevin, my gentle, sweet therapy dog, who is often in the room -offering quiet comfort, emotional support, or just a warm presence when words are hard. Sometimes, he’s the best part of the session (I’m okay with that).
My approach to therapy is:
Relational. Warm. Real.
I show up as a human first, and I want you to feel like you can too. I’m not here to give you all the answers or “fix” you - I’m here to listen, reflect, ask good questions, and walk alongside you as you figure things out in your own way and time.
Sometimes that looks like deep conversations on the couch. Sometimes it’s a walk-and-talk with Kevin. Sometimes it’s sitting in silence. Sometimes it’s just a place to not have to hold it all together for a minute.
I pull from evidence-based approaches like solution-focused therapy, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, and somatic awareness, but what matters most to me is that our work feels like it fits you. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and you deserve support that feels right.
Together, we’ll create space to fall apart, figure things out, and find your way forward - whatever that looks like for you.
When I’m not in the office…
I want to be the best therapist I can be - and for me, that means taking self-care seriously.
Outside of work, you’ll probably find me near water (I’m basically part mermaid), hiking Colorado trails, diving into a craft project, throwing around some kettlebells, or curled up with a good book. I love spending time with my family, and I try to practice the same balance, presence, and compassion that I bring into the therapy room.
This is Kevin.
Kevin is my 5-year-old goldendoodle and certified therapy dog. He’s a gentle soul with a goofy heart and a serious love for tennis balls. He’s also part mermaid - if there’s water nearby, Kevin will find it and dive in without hesitation.
In the therapy room, Kevin brings a calming presence and quiet emotional support. Some days, he’ll rest at your feet. Other days, he might offer a nudge, a wag, or just his warm, steady company.
Animal-assisted activities in therapy has been shown to reduce anxiety, increase connection, and help clients feel more at ease - especially when words are hard to find. Kevin’s job is simple: to help create a space where you feel safe, seen, and a little less alone.
He’s insanely excited to meet you (and honestly, he already thinks you’re awesome).
